Welcome to Josef Holzermayr

Confiserie specialties since 1865.

The Real Salzburg Mozartkugel

We owe the Real Salzburg Mozartkugel to the exquisite taste of Josef Holzermayr, who later produced from 1865 onwards. Chocolate to enjoy – true to this company philosophy, Josef Holzermayr opened the confectionery shop of the same name at Alten Markt 7 in Salzburg. When you enter the shop in Salzburg’s city centre, you immediately feel transported to a bygone era. Chocolates and sweets of all kinds are simple on nostalgic wooden shelves. French caramel, sweet and sour drops and pastel-coloured silk sweets lure you in large glass pours on old-fashioned candy stands. The richly filled chocolate counter leaves nothing to be desired, filled with chocolates and fresh-framed truffles.
